In a very general summary: Tisztaszoba=„clean-room" was the name given to the first room of a peasant house which was saved from the everyday filthy work, and which gave room for the objects of wealth, furniture, presents from the fairs signifying the position of the owners. It was often only opened at special events, holidays, deaths or for a guest.
