A gödöllői szőnyeg 100 éve (Gödöllői Városi Múzeum, Gödöllő, 2007)

CONTEMPORARY TAPESTRIES OF GODOLLO In 2007, on the centenary of the foundation of the weaving workshop in the Gödöllő Artists Colony, a major exhibition was staged in Gödöllő. The exhibition "A Hundred Years of the Gödöllő Carpets" took place in three venues. The carpets woven between 1907 and 1920 were exhibited at the Town Museum of Gödöllő. After Aladár Körösfői Kriesch' death, the weaving workshop was run in various forms from 1920 to 1945. A selection of works from this period was put on display at the Gödöllő Gallery of the Petőfi Sándor Cultural Centre. This publication presents the material of the “Contemporary Tapestries of Gödöllő" exhibition organised by the Gödöllő New Art Public Foundation at the GIM-House (creative centre of the Gödöllő Workshop of Applied Arts). The exhibitors included: Erzsébet Bódis textile artist, Éva Farkas tapestry artist, Erzsébet Katona Szabó textile artist, winner of the Ferenczy Noémi­­prize, Gabriella Kovács textile artist, Veronika Kunszt textile artist, Irén Pirók textile artist, Flóra Remsey tapestry artist, Erzsébet Szekeres textile artist, Irén Szuppän textile artist, holder of the Munkácsy Mihály-prize and the awards of merit and excellence. In the small room of the GIM-House selected works of the students of weaver training workshop established in 1978 under the guidance of Flóra Remsey were exhibited. The exhibition was organised by József Kecskés, secretary of the public foundation, and tapestry designer Flóra Remsey.
