A fotómontázs plakátok többsége fekete-fehér. A montázs elemei antagonisztikus tartalmú fotjrészletek. Ennek a müvészmagatartásnak a bizonysága a jelenlegi SO-KY kiállítás is. The greatest part of the material of the SO-KY political poster exhibition arranged at the Vigadó Gallery is the crop of the recent two years. A smaller selection was exhibited in 1980 at the House of Culture in Szentendre, then continously completed with new creations in other Houses of Culture, in exhibition halls of schools. In 1981 a monumental exhibition was arranged in Moscow, on basis of which an album is published in the Soviet Union about the activity of the artist couple. This material, supplemented by about a dozen new creations, may be seen at the art exhibition of the Vigadó Gallery. Taking into consideration, that in our country political posters are published on the occasion of certain holidays, of anniversaries, and there is only rarely the possibility that a printed poster should call the attention to any political therme of internal or international policy, it is obvious that the predominant mapority of the recent SO-KY posters makes first of all the effect of „exhibit articles”, True, already their prevous presentations were addressed to a very great number of the public and their predominant part, particularly the photomontage posters of the last two years count in theme as well as in form with reaching unified effect in the interrelations of the inner space. The recent creations which could be seen hitherto only at exhibitions, have a connected circle of themes: they raise their word against international imperialism, against new-fascist aggression gaining a new lease of life in variosus part of the world, for the right of nations to liberty, protesting against the oppression of the people and of the individium, exalting resisting heroism. The majority of the photomontage posters is black and white. The elements of the montage are photo fragments of antagonistic contents. Their Chomposition into unity is varying per poster, that is the specific theme: the essence of the composition is never decided by the photo or the photos, but by the conception outlining the inner principle of co-ordination. The text is a minimum, only a hint, and their majority is able of clear-cut communication also without text. The echo of many of their exhibitions arranged hitherto proves, that their creations of images are approachable for every generation, be they about thejoy of the feast or reviving the dramas, tragedies of the present-day world. The political artist, the committed creator seeks the possibility to expressi his conception, his artistic approach in creations, independently from the fact whether he receives to it outward encouragement or whether he has any material interest in ti. The present SO-KY exhibition is also a proof ot this artistic comportment. NÓRA ARADI ARADI NÓRA
