Nagy Katlin, Kovács István Rétegek (Tata, 1995)
Óriási merészség a huszadik század második felének Magyarországán különösen művészek számára elhagyni Budapestet, a kultúrális élet színterét és vidékre költözni. Nagy Katalin és Kovács István megtette. Ám nemcsak ennyit, az év bizonyos időszakára Tata lett a textil és a hozzá kapcsolódó művészek fővárosa, mivel megalakították és negyedik éve működtetik a tatai Nemzetközi Művésztalálkozó és Kiállítás eseménysorát. A great deal of daring is needed for Hungarian artists to forsake the vibrant art culture of Budapest and settle in the countryside. Nagy Katalin and Kovács István possess such daring. They have not only settled in the small town of Tata, but for a short time each of the past four years, they’ve transformed Tata into the textile arts capital of the country. With great energy and enthusiasm, they have developed an International Artists’ Workshop in Tata which has attracted the attention of artists from all over the globe. In der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts gehörte in Ungarn ein riesiger Wagemut dazu besonders für Künstler Budapest zu verlassen, die Bühne des künstlerischen Lebens und in die Provinz zu ziehen. Katalin Nagy und István Kovács haben es getan. Und nicht nur dies, zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt im Jahr ist Tata die Hauptstadt der Textilkunst und der damit verbundenen Künste, indem sie die Veranstaltungsreihe Tataer Internationales Künstlertreffen und Ausstellung aus der Taufe hoben, welches jetzt zum vierten Mal stattfindet.
