EXHIBITION STATEMENT Immediately following the first juried exhibition of the New York Society of Etchers in September 2000 a catalogue documenting the show was published by the society. As part of our planned dis­tribution of the catalogue, copies were mailed to the participating artists as well as everyone on our general mailing list. One of the recipients had just returned from Hungary with a mandate to find New York printmakers interested in a collaborative exhibition. He made contact with us immediately, and arranged an introduction to the Society of Hungarian Etchers.
