Haraszty István és Kalmár János (Premier Galéria, Budapest, 2002)

ISTVÁN HARASZTŸ's and JANOS KALMAR'S joint exhibition represents two artists' activity, working in different fields of contemporary sculpture. Their present show is based on the sculptural oeuvre of two radically different approaches, selected from the artworks of the recent past and from the newest ones. We could analyze and describe for a long time the autonomously hidden techniques, based on counterpoints of shaping and creating the works, the characters bringing to life independent aesthetical systems, but now let us be irregular. This time we place side by side only the potential attributes of István Harasztÿ's and Janos Kalmar's sculpture in the hope that from the opposites, paradoxically, we can after all plastically represent the connections and unity of this world of art coming toward synthesis.
