A Pécsi József Fotóművészeti Ösztöndíj a kortárs fotóművészet fiatal alkotóinak egyik legfontosabb bemutatkozási lehetősége, megmérettetése és díjazása. Az 1991-ben alapított, éves időintervallumokra megpályázható ösztöndíj fennállásának 21 évé. alatt számos kiváló fotográfusnak és fotóművésznek nyújtott lehetőséget és támpgatást egy-egy formanyelvében és tartalmában korszerű téma kibontására és kiállításon, illetve katalógusban való prezentálására művészi pályájuk jelentős,lépcsőfokaként. - . A 2012-es beszámoló kiállítás és katalógus két fiatal alkotó, Hangay Enikő es Varadi Viktor projektjei mutatja be. A két művesz nagyon hasonló egzisztencjalista kérdésfelvetésekből indul ki: a felnőtté válás átmeneti rítusait és identitásképző folyamatait elemzik a mindennapok esztétikáján keresztül. Sorozataikban és installációikban saját helyzetüket és nézőpontjukat igyekeznek definiálni, napi rutinjaik képi ábrázolásával körülhatárolni, illetvS kérdések mentén kibontani. - The József Pécsi Grant is among the most important, challenging and rewarding opportunities of introduction for young photographers. Over the Ž1 years since it was established in 1991, available for periods of one year, the grant has provided opportunity and assistance to a great number of excellent photographers to develop subjects .current in form and content alike, and present them at an exhibition accompanied by a catalogue, forming an important stage in their artistic career, Jhe annual exhibition and catalogue of 2012 presents the projects of two young photographers, Enikő Hangay and Viktor Váradi. The two artists take very similar existentialist problems as their point of departure: they explore rites of passage and identity-formation in adulthood through the aesthetic of daily life.
