69 Al-Li and A!-Li-Cu alloys modifications 5. Mechanical properties increase in modified samples with l%(especially in the 1%MM10 modified. sample). Alloys modified with MM10 have higher hardness and mechanical properties. 6. Cerium and the two types of mischmetal (Fe-La-Ce and MM 10) lead to increasing the mechanical properties. At the same time they remove the negative effect of iron in Al-Li wrought alloys. Cerium and mischmetal influence grain growth. Precipitates Ti are finer and more homogenous in the presence of the modifiers. The presence of cerium leads to increasing the fatigue strength at crack fatigue formation. The addition of cerium and mischmetal plays a prominent part in the refining processing of Al-Li and Al-Li-Cu. 7.
