Internationalia now. The main ambition of the Swedish labour-market policy is the provision for the full employment and for this purpose a national labour-market body /AMS/ has been established, the regional and local organs of which lend help to the unemployed. The volume makes known the general provisions of the Swedish Constitution, the law of succession to the throne, the law on the Parliament and the press law, together with the reforms and amendments of them. The author expounds the provisions on the election of the representative organs of the impressive democracy in details, the political and legal criteria of the general elections held in every third year. Special reference is made to the corporate bodies of control, investigating legality, financial fairness and consequent administration of political life. The reader is acquainted with the political parties to be divided roughly into two groups, namely the socialist and the non-socialist ones. The system of the municipal government is introduced as well, which look back to considerable traditions, having accepted the boundaries of the former organizations of the church. The law on the settlements of 1977 divided the country into primary and secondary municipalities. The set of information on the taxation, on the functioning of budget and on other financial institutions may reckon with interest. Last but not least, the volume deals with the institutions and the legal guarantees of the protection of environment and nature, pointing to the fact that despite the hitherto taken considerable measures the development must not stop in this respect, either. In Sweden, the present political public feeling enforced e.g. the decision that the further operation of the already built up nuclear power stations will be stopped in the ninetieth and no such power station will be built in the future . The high-standard volume, reckoning with general interest is a useful reading both for lawyers and economists. M.
