Introduction

Table 3 The distribution of newly described taxa, expressed in numbers and percentages, is in Table 3. The fossil taxa (9-6-0.3%), fungi and pteridophytes (15—0.7—0.5 and 2.3-0.3—0%, respectively) decrease, whereas the bryophytes increase (0-2.1-5.7%) in proportion. Contrary to the first decade, the new taxa of flowering plants show an increasing trend. Of these, the taxa described from Hungary represent 95—73.5—0.9%, contrary to the taxa described from other countries which reached 99.1% from 5%. All the new bryophytes are described from outside Hungary. No lichen taxon has been described during the 30 years.
